Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the Letter Na.Ka.No.12140/2004/N.3 dated 18.02.2005 issued by the first respondent Commissioner read with the order Na.Ka.No.2577/Nir./ Pa.Aa/2004 dated 1.3.2005 issued by the third respondent and quash the same as being illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondents to grant the benefit of enhanced dearness allowance at the rate of 55% of basic pay to the employees of the third respondent Milk Producers Union with effect from 1.2.2004. ORDER

Mr.V.Govardhanan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, placing on record the letter dated 2.3.2020, stated that since the petitioner-employees have already retired from service, they are no longer interested in the subject matter of the writ petition. Therefore, he requested this Court to permit him to withdraw the writ petition.

2. Recording the letter dated 2.3.2020 and accepting the request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners to withdraw the writ petition, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Consequently, W.P.M.P.No.14466 of 2005 is also dismissed. No costs.
