Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Certiorari, calling for the records of the respondents in connection with the impugned order passed by the first respondent in D.O.308/2005 C.No.A1/10634/05 dated 07.04.2005 and quash the same insofar as the petitioner is concerned and grant such other further relief. O R D E R

Petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition challenging the order passed by the first respondent in D.O.308/2005 C.No.A1/10634/05 dated 07.04.2005, by which the petitioner was transferred to Pudukottai District.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents submitted that the Writ Petition has become infructuous by virtue of the fact that, the Petitioner had already retired from service.

3. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that, he does not have case papers and that the submissions of the learned Special Government Pleader may be recorded.

4. A reading of the Affidavit would make it very clear that, at the time of filing the Writ Petition in the year 2005, the Petitioner was aged 53 years. Hence, at this distant point of time, nothing further survives for consideration in this Writ Petition.
