C.E.PRATAP, Govt. Advocate ( Crl. Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Section 420 of IPC in Cr.No.3 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner induced the general public by assuring that he will get allotment in the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board and received money, however, he neither got allotment nor repaid the amount received.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. The learned counsel further submitted that some people directly paid the money to one Palani, who is an employee in the Slum Clearance Board and further submitted that the petitioner introduced some people to the said Palani and that the law enforcing agency without implicating the said Palani, has implicated the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that investigation is still pending.

5.Considering the nature of the offence committed by the petitioner and the fact that investigation is still pending, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed. -sd/- 17/06/2021 This order, on being produced, be punctually observed and carried into execution by all concerned TRUE COPY Sub-Assistant Registrar (Statistics/C.S.)
