Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure praying to direct the 2nd respondent to conduct a free and fair investigation on Crime No.20 of 2023 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent and to file a charge sheet/final report within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to investigate the Crime No.20 of 2023 dated 20.11.2023 and to file a final report within a stipulated period.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent registered a case in the above said crime number on 20.11.2023, no final report is filed till date.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of three months.

5. In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to file either a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order 2/4

under due intimation to the defacto complainant.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
