Mandamus by calling for the records relating to the order dated 30.06.2010 made in Na.Ka.No./Travelling Allowance/Accounts/2010 passed by the 4th respondent herein, quash the same and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to approve the fixation of millage allowance of Rs.2.25 per km for the two wheelers being used by the petitioners to attend their emergency services as per the G.O.(Ms)No.390 dated 23.08.2000 passed by the 1st respondent.

ORDER

The learned counsel for the respondents submitted that 12 out of the 14 petitioners have submitted letters to the Office of the 4th respondent stating their desire to withdraw the writ petition, while the remaining two petitioners namely Thiru.R.Kanagarajan had voluntarily retired from service on 07.07.2014 and Thiru.V.A.Lakshmi Narasimhan had retired from service on 31.12.2017. Hence, the learned counsel for respondents submitted that nothing may survive in this writ petition and can be disposed. The learned counsel for the petitioners has no objection to the above course suggested by the counsel for the respondents.

2. Recording the submissions made by both sides and the affidavit filed by the 4th respondent, the writ petition is closed and stands disposed of. No Costs.
