Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2018 and change the relationship wrongly mentioned by wife to daughter and change the petitioner's house called name Ramanjiammal to the real name Thulukkanammal in Patta No.35 at Kathirvedu Village. Mr.J.Purushothaman Government Advocate O R D E R Mr.J.Purushothaman, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, this main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for Mandamus directing the respondent to consider her representation dated 16.08.2018, wherein and whereby, she sought for change of her name, relationship with her father in the patta in respect of a land at Kathirvedu Village bearing Patta No.35, Survey No.120/2A1 extent of 0.25.0 Acres.

3. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said representation dated 16.08.2018 has not been considered by the respondent so far.

This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.08.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
