Learned counsel for the petitioner though sought for a wider relief in the writ petition would restrict his argument with respect to consideration of his claim for appointment of Village Assistant in any one of the Villages. According to him, there are lot of vacancies lying without being filled up. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. Insofar as the post of Village Assistant concerned, there is no upper age limit prescribed and the petitioner is fully qualified to be appointed as a Village Assistant. In fact, he was considered and not selected in view of the selection made in favour of the 5th respondent. However, he modifies his request to one of considering his case also for the appointment in one of the vacant places within the State of Tamil Nadu. He made a representation on 15.06.2015 in this regard.
3. Therefore, this Court is inclined to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.06.2015 for appointment to the post of Village Assistant in any one of the vacant places if he is eligible and in accordance with law. A further direction is given to the respondents to dispose of his representation within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition is disposed of.
