Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the 4th Respondent pursuance of his Order dated 20.03.2008 in P8/III/D651596/FP/07-08/ADK/277 and directing the 3rd Respondent to issue a cheque or DD in petitioner's favour, payable at Perambalur, for a sum of Rs.1 lakh as medical assistance due to Petitioner's deceased son Dhamodharan, payable to the petitioner as his legal heir.

ORDER
The writ petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records of the 4th Respondent pursuance of his Order dated 20.03.2008 and further directing the 3rd Respondent to issue a cheque or DD in his favour for a sum of Rs.1 lakh as medical assistance due to Petitioner's deceased son Dhamodharan, payable to the petitioner as his legal heir.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already received a sum of Rs.50,000/- on 09.07.2012 towards medical assistance under the Tamil Nadu Government Employees Health Fund Scheme for the specialized surgery for OLIGO DENDROGLIMO, Emergency Craniotomy - Decompression and Biopsy of SOL (Emergency lifesaving procedure on Brain) undergone by the petitioner's son on 09.11.2004, at Vijaya Health Centre, Vadapalani, Chennai.

Though the petitioner had made claim for Rs.1 lakh, only Rs.50,000/- was paid and the balance amount was rejected on the premise that Vijaya Health Centre, Vadapalani, Chennai, was not an approved institution for the above said treatment. The Government, vide G.O.Ms.No.1096, Health and Family Welfare (AB1) Department dated 12.10.2022 has now sanctioned the balance amount of Rs.50,000/- for medical assistance under the Tamil Nadu Government Employees Health Fund Scheme payable to the petitioner as the legal heir of the deceased Government servant.

4. The respondents further issued a Demand Draft dated 19.10.2022, in DD No.579206 in favour of the petitioner for the said amount of Rs.50,000/-.
5. Both the counsels agreed on the said facts and further requested the Court to record the same.
The above facts are recorded and the Writ Petition is closed. In the light of the payments made as stated above, the Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 26.10.2022 Speaking Order: Yes/No dsn Issue order copy on or before 31.10.2022 To 4 / 6
