Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue a revised order to G.O.144/School Education (A1) Department dated 22.08.2006 by ordering creation of Supernumerary post of Joint Director from 05.05.1987 till 25.10.1990 only and the post of Director from 26.10.1990 till 30.11.1995 and consequently direct the respondent to refix the salary of the petitioner for the said post and disburse the salary arrears, retirement benefits and revised pensionary benefits to the petitioner. When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner is no more and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.
