ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 18.10.2022 submitted by the petitioner to the 2nd respondent to provide electricity connection in his work place (Auto rickshaw workshop) No.12-A, Ushmankhan Street, Chintadripet, Mount Road, Chennai - 2 within the time fixed by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is residing in No.2A, Old No.9, Usman Khan Street, Chintadripet and also running a small auto rickshaw repair workshop for the past 70 years, which was started by his forefathers. Due to financial stringency, the land about 965 sq.ft. was sold by the petitioner on 17.01.1985 and the purchaser allowed the petitioner to continue the workshop in the corner of the land sold by him, which is also coming in the corner of Usmankhan Street. In the year 2014, the Corporation tried to take over the property and put their board over petitioner's property. Hence, he made several representations before the respondents and the last of which is on 18.10.2022. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition before this Court for appropriate orders.

3. Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 18.10.2022, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
4. In view of the limited request sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.10.2022, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and aggrieved persons, if any.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 10.10.2025 Index : Yes / No Speaking order / Non-speaking order sp Page No.3 of 4
