ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to permit the lorries of Mannargudi Area to transport paddy and rice.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that after the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1998, the petitioner has no right to seek permission to ply the lorries.

3. In view of the above, the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered and the writ petition itself is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
