The prayer in this writ petition is to quash the order of the first respondent in Order No.23541/No.5/2008, dated 06.02.2009, where under the petitioner was directed to pay deficit stamp duty.
2.Heard Mr.V.Krishnan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.P.Purushothaman, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.
3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents by producing the letter of the Tahsildar, Chennai, dated 26.7.2019 would state that the document No.3717/2007 was returned to the petitioner on 25.01.2012 after collecting https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Rs.5,30,000/-, towards deficit stamp duty and hence, the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition has become infrucutous. The said letter is taken on file.
4. In the light of the above fact, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
