ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) Seeking a direction upon the respondents to grant patta in the name of Mariamman Temple in S.No.478/6, 7, Anjaneyar Temple in S.No.455/19,20,21 and Murugan Temple in S.No.455/9, 17, 18 at Thirupayyar Takka Village, Ulundurpet Taluk, Villupuram District, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
2. According to the petitioner, the temples are very popular in the village, attracting huge number of devotees. Since the temples were not on patta lands, the villagers made several representations to the authorities, the latest being 12.10.2022, seeking patta. However, no orders have been passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed, seeking the above relief.
3. Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader submits that the representation of the petitioner would be considered and action would be taken by the first respondent in two weeks' time.
4. Recording the said submission of the learned State Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.10.2022, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
