Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for records relating to the impugned order passed by the 1st respondent in his Na.Ka.No.2871/2004/A1 (2) dated 13.12.2004 and the consequential notification published in the Dharmapuri District Gazette Extraordinary No-45 dated 13.12.2004 by the 1st respondent herein, quash the same as illegal and contrary to law and issue consequential direction to the respondents to allow the petitioner to discharge his functions as President, Mallikuttai Village Panchayat. O R D E R

The notification issued by the District Collector-cumInspector of Panchayats, publishing that the writ petitioner is disqualified from holding the post of the President of Mallikuttai Village Panchayat with effect from 13.12.2004. The said order of disqualification is under challenge in the present writ petition.

2. In view of the fact that the tenure of the President itself had expired long back, no further adjudication needs to be entertained in respect of the grounds raised in the preset writ petition.
