COMMON JUDGMENT (Judgment of the Court was delivered by V.M.VELUMANI, J.) When the appeals are taken up for hearing today, both the appellant and respondent submitted that the parties have arrived at a settlement and the appellant also agreed to pay the arrears of interim maintenance of Rs.61,45,000/- (Rupees Sixty One lakhs Forty Five thousand only) within a period of two months, without prejudice to his claim before the I Additional Family Court, Chennai in F.C.O.P.No.3680 of 2011 and F.C.O.P.No.3664 of 2012 and filed a Joint Memorandum of Understanding dated 01.09.2022 duly signed by both the appellant as well as respondent and their respective counsel.

The appellant has already paid a sum of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten lakhs only) on 30.08.2022 by way of Demand Draft bearing No.011332 dated 24.08.2022 drawn on Axis Bank, Byepass Road, Velachery to the respondent. The appellant has agreed to pay the remaining amount of Rs.51,45,000/- (Rupees Fifty One lakhs Forty Five thousand only) within a period of two months from today.

3.The said Joint Memorandum of Understanding dated 01.09.2022, duly signed by both the appellant as well as respondent and their respective counsel is taken on file and the same is recorded. Recording the Joint Memorandum of Understanding dated 01.09.2022 and the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the appellant as well as the respondent, these Civil Miscellaneous Appeals are disposed of in terms of Joint Memorandum of Understanding. The Joint Memorandum of Understanding dated 01.09.2022 shall form part of the judgment.

The learned I Additional Principal Judge is directed to dispose of F.C.O.P.No.3680 of 2011 and F.C.O.P.No.3664 of 2012 within a period of three months from the date of payment of balance maintenance amount of Rs.51,45,000/- as per the Joint Memorandum of Understanding.
