O R D E R

The learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the respondent-Madras University, made a submission that the enquiry, as directed by this Court, had been conducted by the Registrar, Madras University and a report is submitted now to the learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the Periyar University in a sealed cover.

2. In respect of the delay in concluding the enquiry

and submit a report, the Registrar has tendered an apology and the same is accepted. However, it is made clear that the Periyar University has to act based on the enquiry report now submitted by the Registrar, Madras University and initiate all appropriate actions, within a period of six weeks from today.

3. The learned counsel, appearing on behalf of the Periyar University also states that actions will be taken in all respects based on the enquiry report and based on the documents available with the Periyar University.

4. In view of the submissions made by the respective learned counsels appearing on behalf of both the parties, the contempt petition stands closed.
