..Respondent(s) Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to carry out the name correction in the UDR/Patta records in respect of the property situated at Veppampattu Revenue village Chetpet Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, comprised in Grama Natham Survey No.88/11 based on the communication dated 31.03.2023 and 10.10.2024 on the file of 4th respondent within a time frame as may be fixed by this court pursuant to petitioner representation dated 14.01.2026.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to carry out the name correction in UDR patta for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, based on the petitioner's representation dated 14.01.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner seeks for correction of the UDR patta for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition. According to her, the name in UDR patta has to be corrected. The petitioner had given a representation dated 14.01.2026 to the respondents. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the aforesaid representation of the petitioner is considered, on merits and in accordance with

law, after hearing the objections if any from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party whom the respondents deem it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 14.01.2026 seeking for correction in UDR patta for the subject property, after hearing the objections if any from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party whom the second respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the aforesaid representation of the petitioner. No Costs.
