Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for records in pursuant to the impugned Note 2 in Rate Code 01 of the Revised Tariff Circular issued by the 1st respondent in Proc.FT/5/2005, dated 31.03.2005 and quash the same and consequently, direct the respondents to receive the fire tariff of 0.75/Mille for Electronic Software Parks on par with Business Process Outsourcing Centres/Data Processing/Call Centres.

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the circular issued by the 1st respondent classifying certain buildings for the purpose of fixing insurance premium.

2. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, Mr.Prem Narayan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has reported that there is no instructions from the petitioner.

3. Mr.M.B.Gopalan, learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent submitted that, pending Writ Petition, several amendments came into force. Hence, the prayer sought by the petitioner has become infructuous and therefore, this Writ Petition may be dismissed as infructuous.

4. Recording the rival submissions made by learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent, this Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
