When the matter was earlier listed on 02.01.2023, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence, this Court directed the Registry to list the writ petition under the caption "For Dismissal" today i.e. on 04.01.2023. 2.Despite the matter is listed today under the caption "For Dismissal", the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has produced before this Court a Memo dated 04.01.2023 to the effect that the learned counsel had already given Change of Vakalat in the writ petition. It is also stated by the learned counsel that the petitioner was informed about listing of case and that there was no response from the petitioner. The learned counsel has requested a direction from this Court to remove her name and to print the name of the petitioner. The submission made by the learned counsel in the Memo has been recorded. 3.Having regard to the nature of facts reported by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose will 2/4

be served by keeping this writ petition pending. The petitioner who had taken the papers from the learned counsel has failed to engage another learned counsel and the petitioner has to blame himself. 4.Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs.
