Respondents Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the members of the petitioner association dated 04.12.2017 and consequently direct the respondents to pay hill allowance to the members of the petitioner association working in hill areas in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.303 dated 11.10.2017 and G.O.Ms.No.306 dated 13.10.2017.

This writ petition has been filed seeking Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the members of the petitioner association dated 04.12.2017 and consequently direct the respondents to pay hill allowance to them in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.303 dated 11.10.2017 and G.O.Ms.No.306 dated 13.10.2017.
2.The members of the petitioners association were all posted in the hilly region and the respondents have not paid them hill allowance for the period they served in the hill region, a representation dated 04.12.2017 has been submitted by them. Since the same was not considered yet, the petitioner association is before this Court.
3.Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents sought for sufficient time to consider the said representation. 4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner association and without going into the merits of the said representation, the second respondent is hereby directed to consider the pending representation of the petitioner association on merits to consider whether the members of the petitioner association are entitled to get benefit as per G.O.Ms.No.303 dated 11.10.2017 and G.O.Ms.No.306 dated 13.10.2017, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
