ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the appeal that is pending before the authority.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he was working as a conductor in the respondent Transport Corporation. By proceedings dated 19.08.2008, an order came to be passed against the petitioner removing him from service on the ground of unauthorized absence and deserting from service. The petitioner has filed an appeal before the respondent in the year 2019, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

seeking for modification of the punishment. Since no order was passed, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Heard Mr. M. Muthppan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. K. Kathiresan learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to dispose of the appeal strictly in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent along with a copy of this order.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
