Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to conduct enquiry and decide the appeal filed against the proceedings No.2679/A5/2019 dated 08.11.2019 passed by the 2nd respondent within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to conduct an enquiry and decide the appeal filed against the proceedings No.2679/A5/2019 dated 08.11.2019 passed by the 2nd respondent within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

2.Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate takes notice for respondents 3 and 4.

3.Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for respondents 1 and 2 and made a statement on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

instructions that an enquiry is scheduled to take place on 23.02.2021 at 11.00 a.m. at the office of the first respondent.

4.The said statement of the learned Special Government Pleader is recorded.

5.In view of the above, no further direction is required to be given except that the first respondent is directed to issue notice to all the parties who are likely to be affected by his decision, provide them a fair and effective hearing and to dispose of the matter through a speaking order within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, subject to the period, if any lost for the responsibilities associated with the conduct of the General Elections, 2021.
