Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 31.07.2017, arising out of the order passed by the second respondent in Patta proceedings.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the first respondent has not disposed of the appeal so far. It is seen that the said appeal was filed by the petitioner in pursuant to the order passed by this Court in WP.No.15824 of 2017 dated 23.06.2017. Therefore, it is for the first respondent to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

consider the said appeal and pass orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as other interested parties. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in the said appeal. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the first respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner on 31.07.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as other interested parties. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
