ORDER

This writ petition is heard through Video-Conferencing, on account of the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

2. The prayer is for directing the respondents to give police protection for surveying the lands in Survey Nos.161/2C, 161/1D, 161/2A, 161/1C, 161/1B, 161/1A in Navallur Village, Aathur Taluk, Salem District as requested by the petitioners' representation dated 02.03.2013.

3. At the time of hearing, the learned Government Advocate, has produced a communication from Tahsildar, Attur, who has stated that the petitioners are having lands in Survey Nos.161/1A, 161/1B, 161/1C, 161/1D, 161/2A, 161/2B & 161/2C. As the direction sought for in the writ petition is for directing the respondents to give police protection to survey the lands in the said survey numbers in Navallur Village, Aathur Taluk, pursuant to the same, it is stated that the surveyor had surveyed the property and demarcated, based on which the petitioners have also fenced their individual share of the property.

The said communication received in Na.Ka.No.2272/2020/A2 dated 17.08.2020, is taken on record.
