Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to G.O.Ms. No.12/2005/Wel(SCWII) dated 05.08.2005 issued by the 1st respondent and clause 5.1 and clause 5.1.1 of the Information Bulletin 2005-06 for admission to professional courses in Pondicherry, quash the same in so far as it states that the reservation for Scheduled Caste candidates is available only for origin S.C. Candidates and consequently direct the respondents to treat the petitioners as scheduled caste candidates for the purpose of reservation in the matter of admission to professional courses in Pondicherry.

Today, when the matter was called, the learned Addl. Government Pleader (Pondicherry) appearing for the respondents would submit that the issue in the present case with regard to clause 5.1 and clause 5.1.1 of the Information Bulletin 2005-06 for admission to professional courses in Pondicherry is settled by the Division Bench of this Court as to whether getting admission for the professional course from a originated person or a person migrated from other States. Hence, nothing survives for further adjudication in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, this Court has dismissed this Writ Petition as infructuous. No costs.
Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
