The petitioner, who was arrested on 30.04.2016, for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 397, 336, 427 & 506(ii) IPC in Crime No.1226 of 2016, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks bail.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner / Accused and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State.

3. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is alleged to have wrongfully restrained the defacto complainant and threatened him with dire consequences and snatched Rs.1,400/- and one cell phone.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence. He further submitted that the petitioner has been in judicial custody from 30.4.2016.

5. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State submitted that the petitioner has two previous cases, which are similar in nature.

6. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is of the view that this is a not fit case to grant bail to the petitioner / Accused. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
