ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for quashing the FIR in Crime No. 254 of 2015, on the file of the first respondent police against the petitioners/A1 to A3 for the alleged offences under Sections 498(A) of IPC and Sec.4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Woman Harassment Act, 1998.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the 1st respondent, on instructions, submitted that there was some matrimonial dispute between the petitioners and the de-facto https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

complainant in H.M.O.P.No.32 of 2015 before the Sub Court, Mettur. He would further submit that charge sheet has been filed on 05.08.2021 in C.C.No.165 of 2018 before the Judicial Magistrate, Omalur, Salem District and trial had already been commenced. Therefore, the prayer sought for by the petitioners has become infructuous and nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition.

3. Recording the above submissions made by the learned Government Advocate, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition, hence, the Criminal Original Petition is closed. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
