Let me not examine the issue raised as it is seen that the writ petition has been filed in the nature of a writ of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the first respondent/the Principal Secretary, Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Tamil Nadu to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner on 04.05.2021 and pass orders within a reasonable period of time.

2. The petitioner had preferred an application, seeking gun license and aggrieved by the rejection of the same had filed an appeal before the first respondent herein.

3. It is stated by the learned Special Government Pleader that the appeal is still pending.

4. Let the first respondent take a considered decision and dispose of the appeal after following due process of law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. No costs.
