O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) This contempt petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondent for his willful disobeyance of the order of this Court dated 30.01.2013 in Crl.O.P.No.1938 of 2013 which had been filed by the petitioner/ defacto Complainant to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.8 of 2010 pending on the file of the respondent.

2. This Court by order dated 30.01.2013, directed the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.8 of 2010 in accordance with law and file final report as expeditiously as possible more particularly within six months from the date of the receipt of the copy of the order. Since, the respondent had not filed the final report, the present Contempt Petition has been filed.

3. When the matter was taken up today, the respondent has filed an affidavit stating that the final report in Crime No.8 of 2010 has been filed as early as on 18.12.2015 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruthani and the same has been numbered as P.R.C.No.1 of 2021. The respondent has also expressed his unconditional apology for the delay in filing the final report. 2/3

4. The apology expressed by the respondent is accepted. Since the order of this Court has been complied with, this Contempt Petition is closed.
