PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to receive the instalment amounts for the allotment of Plot No.408 Kannagi Nagar, Okkiya Duraippakkam, Chennai, Kanchipuram District from the petitioner and to issue a permanent allotment order to the above property to the Petitioner.

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to direct the respondents, to receive the installment amounts from the allotment of Plot No.408, Kannagi Nagar, Okkiya Duraippakkam, Chennai, Kanchipuram District from the petitioner and issue a permanent allotment order to the above property to the writ petitioner.

2.On conducting an inspection by the Competent Authorities and after obtaining an instruction, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Slum Clearance Board informed this Court that the petitioner is not at all residing in respect of the property in Plot No.408, Kannagi Nagar, Okkiya Duraippakkam, Chennai, Kanchipuram District.

3.In view of the fact that the petitioner is not at all residing in the premises, the relief as such sought for in the present writ petition cannot be granted. However, it is made clear that if the petitioner has got any other grievances in this regard, it is left open to her to adjudicate the matter in the manner known to law.

4.With this observation, this writ petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
