Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant retrospective seniority to the petitioner in the post of Driver-Havildar with effect from 18.3.2003 without arrears of salary with a consequent promotion to the petitioner in the post of S.I. of Police (AMTO) in Category-III/Battalion for the year 2013-14 as has been granted to his batchmates within time frame.
