O R D E R

According to the petitioner, petitioner has submitted a transfer application, dated 14.11.2016 to the respondent herein and notice also issued to the respondent for fixing a hearing on 27.12.2016. However, no order has been passed by the respondent. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition before this Court.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the sole respondent would submit that the said application will be considered on merits at the earliest.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, without expressing any opinion on merit, this Court is inclined to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application, dated 14.11.2016 on merit and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably wtihin a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
