O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.01.2019, seeking permission to conduct a peaceful procession from Manalmedu Bazar to Kalathur Memorial Place on 05.02.2019. 2.The petitioner's son viz., Shankar was died in the year 2007 and thereafter, his death centenary was commemorated every year at his memorial place at Kalathur Village. Likewise, this year on 05.02.2014, being the 10th death anniversary of his son, the petitioner has made arrangements to conduct a peaceful procession from Manalmedu Bazar to Kalathur Memorial. Hence, he sent a representation to the respondents seeking permission to conduct such procession. Since, no orders have been passed, the petitioner is before this court with the present petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that every year the death centenary of the petitioner's son was commemorated in a peaceful manner and he assured that, if permission is granted to conduct the procession, no law and order problem will arise.

5.The learned Government Advocate submitted that the procession to whom the petitioner intended to conduct had seven previous cases, including murder cases. Now, the petitioner wanted to conduct the procession of his 10th year death anniversary. He further submitted that if permission is granted to conduct the procession, definitely law and order problem will arise and it would cause great hardship to the general public.

6. In view of the above submissions, it is not a fit case for directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.01.2019 for conducting procession on 05.02.2017. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
