O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to act upon the representation made by the petitioner on 23.09.2024 wherein the petitioner has sought for necessary corrections to be made in the revenue records regarding the survey number and the extent of the subject property.

2.

Heard Mr.J.Hari Krishna, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 6. 3.

The petitioner gave a representation before the District Collector and the District Collector has directed the 4th respondent to deal with the complaint. Ultimately, if an order is passed, it will result in the rectification of the extent of the property and also the change in Survey numbers. Hence, to that extent, the patta has to be cancelled and fresh patta has to be issued. Therefore, it will be more appropriate if the representation is given before the RDO, who is the 3rd respondent in this writ petition.

On receipt of the representation, the 3rd respondent shall issue notice to the petitioner and respondents 7 to 10 and after hearing all the parties concerned, final orders shall be passed on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the fresh application / representation from the petitioner.

5.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
