O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner aggrieved by an order passed by the Appellate Authority, modifying the punishment of removal from service to that of compulsory retirement with full compensatory benefit and gratuity. By the date of the petitioner filing the present writ petition, he was aged about 53 years.

2. When the matter earlier came up for consideration before this Court on 19.08.2021, it was brought to the notice of this Court that the counsel on record for the petitioner is no more. Therefore, this Court ordered notice to the petitioner. However, the notice sent to the address of the petitioner furnished in the writ petition was returned with a postal endorsement "No such person". In the circumstances, this Court is left with no other option except to close the writ petition for want of prosecution.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed leaving it open to the petitioner to seek reopening of the writ petition, if so advised by filing appropriate application. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions, if any shall stand closed.
