Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the second respondent herein in G.O (Ms) No.84, Energy (A1) Department, dated 03.09.2010 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents 1 and 2 to appoint a judicial member to the fourth respondent.

This matter earlier came up for consideration before this court on 22.08.2025. As there was no representation for the petitioner, the same was directed to be listed under the caption "For Dismissal".

2. Today, inspite of the matter being listed under the caption "For Dismissal", there is no representation for the petitioner. In view of the same,

this Court is left with no other option except to dismiss the writ petition for nonprosecution.

3. Be that as it may, Mr.V.Veluchamy, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents brought to the notice of this court that the relief sought in this writ petition has become infructuous, as the appointment of the Respondent No.3 herein, as a member of the Respondent No.4/ Commission is only until the Respondent No.3 attains the age of 65 years and the Respondent No.3 has attained the age of 65 years long back.

4. In the light of the above, the writ petition is dismissed on the ground that the same has become infructuous as well as on the ground of non-prosecution. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
