ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 06.01.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for granting patta in her name and also for carrying out certain corrections in the extent that has been mentioned in the earlier patta granted for the subject property. 2.Heard Ms.M.Adhishree, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.M.R.Gokul Krishnan, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The petitioner is claiming title over the subject property by virtue of a settlement deed dated 19.06.2013. The patta was granted earlier in the name of the petitioner's parents. The petitioner became the owner of the property by 2/5

virtue of the settlement deed and hence the petitioner wanted the patta to be transferred in her name. That apart, the petitioner also found some discrepancies in the extent of property as was recorded in the earlier patta that was issued. Accordingly, a representation was given before the 1st respondent on 06.01.2025. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials that were placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 06.01.2025 and pass appropriate orders within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and if there are no rival claims, appropriate orders shall be issued in favour of the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with law.

5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. 04.02.2025 3/5
