Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to disburse an amount of Rs.1,58,569/- in terms of Award No.6/89 dated 09.06.1989 together with 12% interest from the date of Award to till the date of payment. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner, who was a bachelor, died during the pendency of the writ petition leaving without any legal heir, hence this petition stands abated.

2.In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the writ petition is dismissed as abated. No costs.
