By consent of both parties, this Writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the first and second respondents to consider his representation dated 20.07.2018 and reminder representation dated 01.11.2018 and consequently survey the land and issue separate patta in favour of his land situated at Tiruppur District, Paladam Taluk, Manikapuram Panchayat Board, Survey No.287/2A, Joint Patta No.1218.

According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 20.07.2018 to the first respondent to survey his land and issue separate patta in his favour. As there was no response, he has submitted a reminder representation on 01.11.2018. It is stated that the petitioner has paid necessary charges to survey his land vide challan dated 20.07.2018. Hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking for the relief stated supra.

4. Heard the learned counsels appearing on both sides.

5. It is the fact that there is a dearth of surveyors in many of the Taluk Offices and there are many petitions and requests as that of the petitioner herein waiting their properties to be surveyed. Hence, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to have a list of such requests and conduct the survey as per the order of priority. However, any such request for survey of the land shall be done, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner, third respondent herein and the persons interested in this regard and also affording them an opportunity of personal hearing, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
