Prayer: Appeals filed under Clause 15 of the Letters Patent against the common order dated 1.12.2022 passed in W.P.Nos.28979 and 28982 of 2022.
For the Appellants : Mr.C.Prakasam For the Respondents : Mr.K.Karthik Jegannath Government Advocate for respondents 1 and 2 COMMON JUDGMENT (Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.C.Prakasam, learned counsel for the appellants; and, Mr.K.Karthik Jegannath, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 and 2.
2. Learned counsel for the appellants submits that after three months the appellants/original writ petitioners have approached this Court. The original writ petitioners are entitled for return of five sovereigns. The said aspect is not considered on merits by the learned Single Judge.
3. The learned Single Judge observed that, on 3.9.2022, a representation was submitted by the original writ petitioners and, immediately, the original writ petitioners rushed to the Court seeking directions to dispose of the representation. The learned Single Judge further observed that the writ petitions are premature, as the representation has been given recently.
4. Be that as it may, learned counsel for the original writ petitioners submits that the said representation is not yet decided. In case, the said representation of the original writ petitioners is not yet decided, the same shall be decided by the respondents within a period of three months from today.
5. With these observations, the writ petitions are disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
