The petitioner was appointed as Junior Assistant on 15.12.1979 in State Express Transport Corporation. Thereafter he was selected and appointed as Assistant Labour Welfare Officer vide order dated 10.5.1988. The petitioner retired from service on 31.5.2007. The first respondent settled his Gratuity and Provident Fund in accordance with Regulations.

2. It is the grievance of the petitioner that his earlier service from 1979 to 1988 was not taken into account for the purpose of calculating the total service. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 13.11.2013 requesting the first respondent to consider his earlier service for the purpose of computing pension and other related terminal benefits. However, there was no follow up action taken by the first respondent. The petitioner is therefore before this Court.

3. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation dated 13.11.2013 on merits and as per law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observation. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
