O R D E R

The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the representation of the 2nd petitioner dated 04.01.2023 in pursuance of the representation of the 1st petitioner herein dated 22.08.2022.

In respect of the property situated at S.Nos.439/1A, 439/2A1 and 439/2B admeasuring an extent of 3.40 acres at Elavanthi village, Palladam Taluk, Tiruppur District, the petitioners had submitted representations dated 22.08.2022 and 04.01.2023 seeking patta. In order to consider the same and pass necessary orders, the petitioners have filed the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the official respondents. In view of the order that is going to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the 5th respondent is hereby dispensed with.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the representations dated 22.08.2022 and 04.01.2023 submitted by the petitioners would be considered on merits and in accordance with law and necessary orders would be passed within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for and having regard to the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order. "That there shall be a direction to the first respondent to act upon on the representations dated 22.08.2022 and 04.01.2023 submitted by the petitioners and do the needful as pleaded therein after conducting an enquiry by giving notice to the petitioner as well as the 5th respondent and pass orders thereon within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
