ORDER

Apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No.733 of 2024 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 109, 118(1), 296(b), 329(4), 351(3) of BNS, the present petition has been filed seeking anticipatory bail.

2. Pleading innocence on the part of the petitioner, false implication in the case, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks indulgence of this Court. Learned counsel for the

petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court.

3. The case of the prosecution as putforth by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police, while opposing for grant of anticipatory bail is that due to previous enmity, there was a wordy quarrel between the petitioner and the defacto complainant. He further submitted that the petitioner and the victim are neighbours from the same village and the petitioner along with other accused attacked the defacto complainant using knife, thereby caused grievous injuries on the neck and left ear. He further submitted that there are two accused in the name of Manikandan in this case and the petitioner herein is the person who had inflicted the grievous injury. He further submitted that the petitioner has two previous cases.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent Police and perused the materials available on record and taking into consideration of the gravity of offence committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 07-02-2025 msv To The Inspector of Police, B-5, Walajabad Police Station, Kanchipuram District.
