Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the Panel issued by the third respondent dated 26.02.2009 for Middle School Headmaster promotion and quash the same in respect of the 4th & 5th respondents; consequently direct the second and third respondents prepare the panel for Middle School Headmaster for the year 2009 as per the guidelines issued by the first respondent on 18.12.2008 and promote the petitioner as Middle School Headmaster.

O R D E R

Read this in conjunction with and in continuation of earlier proceedings made in the previous listing on 16.08.2021, which reads as follows:

'There is no representation for the writ petitioner. Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned State counsel for Respondents 1 to 3 (official respondents) is before this Virtual Court. To be noted, Respondents 4 and 5 are private respondents, who have been duly served on 07.07.2009, their names are shown in the cause list, but there is no representation. This Court is informed that private respondents have not entered appearance through any counsel.

2. Be that as it may, learned State counsel submits that the matter has become infructuous as post writ petition, writ petitioner was promoted or in other words the prayer of the writ petitioner was answered in the affirmative. Learned State counsel also submits, on instructions, that writ petitioner is now no more. However, with the intention of giving opportunity to the writ petitioner's counsel, list this matter tomorrow i.e., 17.08.2021.

2. Today, Mr.P.Ganesan, learned counsel who is before this virtual Court submits that he represents the counsel on record for writ petitioner. Learned counsel expresses regret for not having represented the matter in the previous listing.

3. In addition to the submission made in the previous listing, learned State counsel today, on instructions submits that the lone writ petitioner is no more and his date of demise is 21.05.2021.

4. Mr.P.Ganesan, learned counsel submits that the submission made by learned State counsel in the previous listing on 16.08.2021 and today draws the curtains on the matter and the writ petition can be closed.

5. In the light of the narrative thus far, captioned writ petition is disposed of as closed making it clear that no
