Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents forthwith to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.01.2025. For Petitioner : Mr.S.Ezhilraj
ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking for a mandamus directing the respondents to forthwith to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.01.2025.
2. The said representation of the petitioner is addressed to the second and third respondents with a copy marked to the first respondent. Upon going through the representation, the grievance of the petitioner is that there are certain omissions and commissions which are made by the second and third respondents which has caused loss to the petitioner and the petitioner is entitled to compensation.
3. The second and third respondents namely ICICI Securities Limited is a private entities and compensation is being sought from them. Even in the representation, the petitioner has pointed out the relevant section of the Consumer Protection Act to claim deficiency in service. If that be the case, 2/4
the petitioner has to approach the appropriate forum under the Consumer Protection Act for redressal of his grievance. Merely by adding the authorised officer of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) does not make this writ petition maintainable.
4. In view of the above, keeping the liberty of the petitioner open to approach the appropriate forum for redressal of his grievance, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
