him in G.O.(MS).No.22, Health and Family Welfare (C2) Department dated 29.01.2010 and quash the same to the extent of the direction given for recruitment for the DMLT Candidates alone for appointment to the post of Lab Technician Grade II without providing employment opportunity to the CMLT candidates like the petitioner either to the post of Lab Technician Grade II or Lab Technician Grade III and direct the respondents to consider the petitioner who is the CMLT candidate also for appointment either to the post of Lab Technician Grade II or to the post of Lab Technician Grade III. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that pending the writ petition, the writ petitioner has been appointed as Laboratory Technician Grade III in Karisalpatti Primary Health Centre, Tirunelveli Health Unit district by the proceedings of the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Chennai - 6 dated 24.03.2020 and as such the grievance made in the writ petition no longer survives.
