O R D E R

The criminal original petition has been filed seeking to quash the FIR in Cr.No.57 of 2024 pending on the file of the first respondent. 2.When the matter came up for hearing on 05.02.2024, this Court passed the following order:

"Mr.A.Gopinath, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) takes notice for the 1st respondent.

2. Considering the nature of transaction between the parties and also considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner to the effect that the petitioner is willing to repay back the amount, the petitioner and the 2nd respondent are directed to be present before the Mediation Centre attached to this Court on 06.03.2024 at 11.30 a.m. The process of mediation shall commence immediately and a report shall be filed before this Court on 22.03.2024.

3. Post this case under the caption 'for filing Mediation Report' on 22.03.2024."

3.The learned counsel for the second respondent submitted that the parties have amicably settled the dispute before the Mediation Centre and that the petitioners had already repaid back a sum of Rs.16Lakhs to the second respondent. In view of the same, there was a settlement between the parties and the same is reflected in the Mediation report that has been sent to this Court. 4.In the light of the above development, the FIR in Cr.No.57 of 2024 pending on the file of the first respondent is hereby quashed and this criminal original petition is allowed on the ground of compromise.
