The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to initiate appropriate action to rectify and remove the fraudulent insertion of the unknown name of Balaram Naidu from the remarks column in the property record bearing Survey No.63/12 Part having Door Nos.18 & 19, Jal Naicken Street, Alandur, consisting of Town Survey Field Nos.42 & 43 of Alandur Village, Saidapet Taluk, Chennai - 600 016 and the entire property being one property, direct the respondents to give one Municipal Number for the entire property as Municipal No.19 instead of splitting into two Municipal Nos.18 & 19 by deleting Municipal No.18, which is not in existence in the Town Survey Register prepared and maintained by the respondents.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner's representation dated 02.03.2017 to the 2nd respondent, the 2nd respondent has passed any order so far.
3.Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader taking notice for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders in accordance with law. 4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.03.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
