O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to register a case on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 27.12.2013.

2.Since this case is pending on the file of this Court from March 2014, this Court perused the materials available on record thoroughly and passed the following order.

3.It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner of a land in Thiruvannamalai District and he had made an application with the Tahsildar for survey of lands and also, paid the necessary fees. On 27.12.2013, when the surveyor and other officials came to the spot for surveying the lands, some anti-social elements have prevented them from surveying the said lands. It is seen that the petitioner had not even given the names of any of the persons in his complaint. Under such circumstances, no positive direction can be given to the respondent police to register a case on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 27.12.2013. However, if any complaint is forwarded by the Revenue authorities to the Inspector of Police, the same should be enquired into and sufficient protection to be given to the Revenue authorities for surveying the lands in accordance with law.

4.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
