This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to pay difference in leave salary, difference in gratuity and pension arrears as per 15th wage settlement dated 29.05.2025 with 10% interest to the petitioners.

2. The petitioners joined the service of the first respondent Corporation as Helper and Conductor and rendered nearly 26 and 30 years of continuous service. They were retired from service in the year 2024. After retirement, the respondents settled the terminal benefits based on salary paid. 15th wage settlement was arrived on 29.05.2025 and wage revision was given with effect from 01.09.2023. However, difference in leave salary, difference in gratuity and pension arrears were not settled till date based on revised pay as per 15th wage settlement. Hence, the petitioners sent representations on 15.12.2025 and 02.01.2026 to the respondents to pay difference in leave salary, difference in gratuity and pension arrears with interest based on 15th wage settlement. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that it would suffice, if the respondents are directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 15.12.2025 and 02.01.2026 on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent have no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent.

6. In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 15.12.2025 and 02.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
